This caught my eye in the Russo & Steele Auction. Is this a known car?

"Baby Blue" Z28 (http://www.russoandsteele.com/index.php?action=dsp_function&functionID=8&ID=6049 )

Thanks

Sure looks like it. There is also another Carolina Blue Camaro floating around on eBay... The UCLA SS.

That's gotta be the same car....ordered new in Nebraska or the Dakotas or somewhere like that....when it was on eBay and generating much discussion here it was located in Colorado, I believe http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hmmm.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif Not many loaded Carolina blue 69 Z's around.

It was discussed before, and i believe he is relunctantly letting it go as his partnership with the car is disolving.

Interesting car + Hx. How did the car do on ebay? Who was selling it at that time? What do you think about the "market estimate" ($175-225K)?

Sam, as I recall it got up to around $150K http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hmmm.gif

EDIT: I just found the old thread earlier this year....
http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/126779/page/45/fpart/1/vc/1

mr70 posted within that thread that the final auction price was $170K, so Russo & Steele's Market Estimate is probably justifiable.

That's why I try to post a final bid price on an Ebay item that gets talked about at length on here.If same item ever gets brought up again in the future, the past Ebay link is usually invalid and most ask what it got bid up to or sold for back then.

A couple of friends have consigned cars to this auction and both are under $100K.

In both cases the low and high auction estimates are within $5K of the actual reserve, example:

reserve is $80 auction estimate would be $75-85

The quality of cars at this auction has really come up because I believe sellers with better cars have the sense of comfort from the reserve being allowed.
