Been getting quite a bit of rain the last few days here in E. Washington. Not as much as Cali though. I wanted to take out one of the cars today, but the yard is so wet and soft that I might get stuck. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
I would like to get some more miles put on the SS396 Camino, but it looks like it will be a couple more months before I can do that. Happy 2006 guys! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

I wish NO ONE ill will.......but I get mildly upset/amused when unknowledgeable people badmouth "Seattle's" (Pacific N.W) rain, when so many other areas of the country have MUCH more(weather related problems)..........not to mention the SNOW we rarely see

Charley, I couldnt tell ya.....maybe one of those weather web sites could. Also I think there has to be a certain minimum inch total to count as rain ????
Are you implying we get MANY days of drippy overcast weather......well you already know we do.........
Like I already said, I wish you NO ill will and I trust ALL your bldgs and possesions stay high and dry
As well I hope Phoenix is drier than last year during B/J

Uh-oh, now the cat's out of the bag Chuck. Our well-kept secret of mild, often sunny winters has been divulged!

Actually, I think it's the long periods of gray skies more than the actual rainfall that scares-off more migration to the Pacific-Northwest (PNW). Add to the long periods of gray skies a winter-type rain storm for several days over the 4th of July--stuff like that--that gives credit to the myth of PNW weather.

I'm one of those awful Californians who have relocated to the PNW (via the air force) and I like it here because of the similarity to the S.F. Bay Area where I grew up. I tell my California buddies that Seattle today reminds me of the Bay Area in about 1970: not yet smothered by overpopulation and the subsequent problems.

Uh-oh, I think I've let another cat out of the bag...

Chuck - I took my family to the fair town of Seattle in the summer of '04. You know how stereotypes are. Being from the valley of the (relentless) sun, we were looking forward to some nice (predictable) moist wx. We were in the town for 1 week and the wx was absolutely perfect with nice gentle breezes. Chuck, you have a fine town there and i look forward to my next visit. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif
