Kim, Camaro white Book says VO-1 was Heavy Duty Radiator. Please educate us with what you know of this VO-1 option and if same as came with Big Blocks and ONE piece shroud (VERY Rare ending with #920)

RPO VO1 is the same radiator used on Z/28 and V8 cars ordered with A/C. VO1 was included when Z/28 ordered.
Kim, your top radiator support panel that holds the shroud should be extended to the drivers side . Same as Z/28. So your should would be the same as the Z/28.
I have both base and Z/28 shrouds and panels if you want me to post them.

Kim,
My top panel off my Z is part number 3973904. I am looking at it while I type this.
The shroud that fits it is the two piece shroud with part numbers 3973912 and 3973910. As I mentioned it is the same as Z/28 which came with VO1 when ordered.
I don't have an extra one.

Enclosed is org picture of my car taken 1970 Notice the plate and shroud.I think they are different than the v8 plate and shrould. I have the org. plate on my car and the part # stamped in it is the same as the VO1 # 3973904 This what I am looking for. Kim P.S. my car was a 6cyl. to start with.

Kim,
The 6 cylinder and non-AC cars had the smaller top panel and shroud as shown in your picture.
The Z/28, V8 cars with A/C and special order VO1 option had the 3973904 top panel and 912 and 910 two piece shroud.
Also look on your top plate next to the part number. Is there a letter before the number? My 3973904 panel off my Z has an "L" before the number.
If I get a chance tomorrow I will get pictures of both the standard panel and shroud and the VO1 option panel and shroud.
Kim after looking at your picture you need the 2 piece 912 and 910 shroud. If you are not looking for original you can get the 2 shroud pieces through GM. Approx $45.00 each piece.

Rick, The bottom shroud you can still buy from Chevy. I have one of them. I bought a year ago but not the top one. The V8 upper part # is 3973900 and for the 6 cyl. is part # 3972910 I think they are different. I have several that I have bought on the internet thinking they were close by their pictures they posted, So far none are the 6 cyl. one. Still looking. Kim,
3973900 is the upper shroud piece for non-A/C cars. The lower shroud would be 3973902. Also NOT found on Z/28 or cars with VO1.
The correct VO1 and Z/28 shrouds would be 3973910 and 3973912. This is what you want if running a V8.
I'll grap both my shrouds tomorrow.

Thanks Steve, But i'm not looking for the mini-version or aftermarket. I need full size and correct version only. Make sure you call me when the COPO hits the road. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/3gears.gif I'll be able to hear that thing from my house, huh?
