I believe the L72 was an RPO in '69 in the full sized Chev.

All that and no speed warning? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hmmm.gif
Interesting ride!
There were quite a few of those Wagons campaigned in NHRA for their weight and rear wheel overhang . They hooked up with there weight transfer!!!!!. Look at your old mags. We got the remains of one years ago. Jim http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/3gears.gif

First time I saw the 69 COPO wagon at Floyd's it knocked me out! I asked Floyd if it was 'the real deal' and he confirmed the owner had a ton of original docs for the car. I lingered near it for a while to hear other visitors reactions to it. Many were quite interesting to say the least.
Hope the car stays at Floyd's and doesn't get stuck away in some private collection never to be seen again.

Be careful here. . Although a beautiful car and I don't doubt it's originality, what's Copo about this baby?? . As Keith said, the L72 was a RPO in '69 big Chevys....so nothing Copo and the goofy story of convincing GM to build the car is a buncha' BS. . Sure cool though....where was it built? ~ Pete

I saw the Vin noted on the auction which notes 'U' as the build plant which is Lordstown Ohio. . Too bad as a lot of the big Chevys were built in Oshawa and if so has the GM Vintage services documents available. . Again a really cool car but not Copo or special built. ~ Pete
