1970 Buick GSX 455 with A/T. The car sat for 23yrs in a basement of a building in Atlanta. Off frame restoration, documented by Mr.Rosen. Seen only at the Oct.2005 "The Forge" invitational. Looked the other way by Hot Rod magazine except for one sentence about being there. I'll try and give you guys more info at another time. But for now all I can say is "built Bad to the Bone by Buick, made Nasty by Motion Performance".

David...get your pics to Xplantdad on this site so we can feature it properly.Sorry you didn't get noticed at that show...the Supercar Reunion we put on every Labor Day weekend in St. Louis is the original and only show catering to the cars from Yenko/Nickey/Motion/Gibb etc. in the world. The press coverage is excellent and there are posts all around this site showing the many different magazine features from The Supercar Reunion.People who attend will tell you what a blast it is. Hell take it down the 1/4 if you like since we rent Gateway International Raceway .It's growing every year and this year will be the best ever. This car deserves to be there !! Very unusual...damn...Ratbird, GSX...now where is the elusive Oldsmobile from Joel ?

That's amazing! When I got a lead on that car over 2 yrs ago. I dicussed it at length with the owner @ McIntosh Performance. He stated that it only had 2 Motion badges, so I guess Joel has a stash of work orders http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif. Got any pre resto pics from where it sat @ McIntosh?

Actually it had badges on the motor and fenders and dash. I don't know how well you know David, but he never really checked the car or even knew what it would have had. The dual fuel pumps in the trunk had left holes from the mounting brackets, the ladder bars had left indentations on the car where mounted, the header were pieces left at David's other location, the Phase III box was also in the extra pieces given to me along with a B4B intake and old Holley 3 barrel carb. partial remnants left in the hole on the dash where the manual choke is. With you being in the Atlanta area, feel free to stop by at any time. Oh yeah, I recently talked to a guy that has owned a coupe of Motion cars that happened to be hanging out at Motion when the car was being prepped for the work. David also told me the car had the badges, amazing huh!!!! Have fun

Then, I'm sure all of that's true. We only discussed the car twice. I asked him if it had any Motion mods like
headers, ladder bars, 3 bbl carb, fuel pumps etc & he said 'nope it just has 2 badges...if I thought it was a Motion I'd be asking 100K' and 'someone else has 1st right of refusal & will probably buy it, so if & when I decide to sell it I'm going to price it as an unrestored GSX'. So, I guess you got a great deal with all those extra parts and all http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

Glad to finally get the story on your http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif MOTION GSX------------ ...I liked your little panel of toggle switches, especially the tail-light kill switch--I think Motion also offered a rear oil slick switch.............
