Does anybody know anyone that used to own a 70 Camaro L78 black with white stripes/orginally citrus green/dark green interior in the Pitts. Pa area. Trying to locate previous owner's besides the guy I bought it from. Thanks

Try the guys at www.nastyz28.com. (http://www.nastyz28.com.) They may know the car.

Do you know whereabouts in Pittsburgh? The area is full of smaller communities and suburbs, so the name of a town or any further details may help narrow your search. Also, does the car have any race history? I will be attending the annual Pittsburgh International Dragway reunion coming up again in early February, maybe I can ask around there if anyone specifically remembers a Citrus 70 L-78 Camaro.

When I got the car it was Black/white stripes

I spent (miss-spent) my youth in that area and went out cruising every night looking for fun (racing), I never saw any Green 70 SS Camaro. There was a White one that I saw in the North Hills area that a 30 something lady used to haul her kids around in...yes it was a original SS 396 car although I am not sure which 396 it had.

Ray, did you cruise on McKnight Rd? I lived there on Friday and Saturday nights. Lots of racing.

Gary do you remember anyone named Scooter (BB Camaro) or Paglease (BB Camaro) or Matt Chalmers (66 SS427 Impala then 70 Camaro BB) or the Eckard Brothers (matching Novas then matching 70 SS Chevelles, one red one silver...I still know where the red one is, hasn't been driven in 20 years) or Oster (68 427 Camaro...with funny pontiac wheels) engine builders Hoot Martin or Jay Wilker or Butch DeAnthonio or John Kunsak?

Just out of curiousity, does the car have a straight front bumper (non-RS) and the full custom interior (woodgrain dash/console/doors, extra interior lights, cloth seats) and a L88 hood?

Ray, now that I think of it I might have asked you about this a while back. I hate it when sanility sets in. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif Yes, I had a few different Vettes back then too. Also cruised in a few second gen Camaros. I hung at Burger King. You guys were our rivals http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif I remember a guy named Scooter. He had an El Camino when I knew him and died at a young age. He is probably a different Scooter. I also remember Kunsak. I bought used parts from him on a few occasions. Nice guy. The other cars you mention I do not recall. Feel free to spill the beans on the red SS! Probably one of those "it's not for sale" situations though.

Yes, however I was riding shotgun as I was only 14 then. Do you remember a 66 Impala SS with a 427. It was brown and then later blue.
