A friend of mine is doing the paint work on 18 cars for Bill Rea of Clarion, PA and when I checked his website, www.ronkirkpatrickcustom.com (http://www.ronkirkpatrickcustom.com), I saw a link to the place he is doing the cars for - www.yenko-wildfire.com (http://www.yenko-wildfire.com) When I read the about us section I read this and had never heard it before. Is this a documented fact on the '69 cars?

Bill and Don dined, socialized, traveled, raced and talked shop together till Dons untimely death in 1987. When racing competitively AGAINST each other, Bills Mustang out-dueled Don on more than one SCCA or IMSA occasion. That lead to Bills contribution to the famed 69 Yenko Camaros. Dons cars were bullets in a straight line but needed help in the "curlys". Bill, with the help of Koni, Hotchkis and Heller Spring, designed a handling package for 39 of the 198 Yenko Camaros built in 1969. As Dons good friend, Ed Cole, at Chevy took notice, GM invented what became known as the handling package.
