From what Ive read, it appears that XT or IF coded wheels are the ONLY 14x7 G.M. wheels that have the correct appearance for 69 Misc COPO's. Can you please educate me with any other wheel applications/codes that would look correct.
Is there a reproduction available.......?????

Looking for set of FOUR.....14x7 ??????

JZ wheels are very similar to XT and IF. XT and IF are identical except for stamping.

Repros are available except they don't have the two raised areas by the valve stem.

IF wheels are much more available than the XT wheels. JZ wheels are fairly rare but usually go pretty cheap.

Good luck with your search. BCD.

If you are not worried about codes 1970-72 GM 14 X 7 "CL" coded wheels for Nova SS and Camaro SS look as good with the 68-70 Dog Dish hubcap in place even though the lugnut center section is visually different. There was a guy on ebay that had 20 NOS Kelsey Hayes GM 14 X 7 steel wheels without stampings Ebay Item # 4604796564 for $55 ea. These wheels look identical to the CL wheel. A real bargain compared to XT wheels.

Prices for IFs (and to some extent XTs) are all over the map on ebay.

If you want a date-code matched set, with no curb dings and no bead pitting, then expect to pay at least $100 per IF wheel plus shipping (and shipping wheels is expensive). If you don't care about dates, then you can often buy IF singles for $50 each.

XT singles can occasionally be had for $100 each and matched sets in great condition are over $1000.

JZ wheels can be had for as little as $25 each, but you don't see them very often and it can take a while to put together a set. JZ wheels are different enough from the XTs and IFs that you probably don't want to mix them.

Good luck, BCD.

Chuck,
Wheel Vintiques Type 62 looks identical to the xt's with the three retaining nubs for the cap as well as the 4 holes with the slanted ends. I haven't purchased a set yet but a few people have voiced issues about WV's quality control.

I have a set of WV 14" rims that I bought a year ago that are "Garbage"......they run out so bad that whole car shakes.......put on some used GM ones and the shake went away.......funny......WV said the rims were O.K. and the tires were the cause......4 more additions to the pile of repro'd parts........

Ken
why is it so hard to get what you pay for??????

I picked up four of these. THey have a Kelsey sticker on them. Code next to valve stem is k-1-7 9 17 UC, I figure they are Sept. 17, 1977 date code. If I understood him correctly, he has eight more of these yet.

That particular auction is for <font color="red">14 x 5</font> wheels, not 14 x 7. He has the 14 x 7's in another auction.
