if some one could help me, is this a pop for a 396 375 h.p. car?

No, I believe that is a 327/275 hp engine...September was way too early for an L78 anyway.

the guy says it is a 67 396 car and he emailed me the following:

(The options on the trim tag reads 4K 5Y the motor is not #s matching)

here is the link for the ebay auction.

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4606061962&sspagename= ADME:L:RTQ:CA:1

he says it is a 396 car but is also has a small block heater box.

It might read 4P given the 275hp motor, but it can't be a 375 due to the September build date. Also, that tag has been off and monkeyed with...some pics show the tag off and it has the wrong rivets. SS emblems in the wrong place, etc. etc. I'd run away from that car http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burnout.gif

it looked to me like he hit the tag with a hammer or something.so when he emailed me and said it had a 4k on the tag then i thought is was a 375 car.i did notice a few things wrong like the ss badges, heater box,no rear spoiler etc.looking for a 67 396 4 spedd car to restore so if anyone know of one.

No 1967 Camaro came with a rear spoiler. Every spoiler you see on a 1967 was added later. Period!

Car is not a true SS.
