Man all this comparison know of what cars are worth or what they sold for at Barrett-Jackson is this not getting old or what? Lets be truthful hear I know for a fact that there was a whole lotta shell bidding going on but come on ebay seems to be one of the worst, look at BJ'S prices bla bla a cetain car sold for this and this one is nicer man will it ever end! BJ is what it is. Not a wholesale auction place. Collector car dealers that buy there are not buying the majority of cars, so resale is not what BJ is about.

I don't think anyone goes to BJ to buy a car with the idea of selling the car soon for a large profit. It's like Craig Jackson sais its a COLLECTOR car auction. The big money cars are for collectors, buy em to keep for a while, IMO. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flag.gif

And Theatre it is! An LS6 ragtop sells for $450,000 at BJ and another sells for $350,000(?) at Russo. That is a hell of a premium to see yourself buy a car on TV.
But between the 4 auctions and the Pavillions I dont know where else I can see 2000+ interesting and diverse cars in 4 days.

I for one love it, and hope the discussion about what happened at B/J and R/S continues until they do it again next year. If folks tire of the "circus" atmosphere surrounding these type of auctions, then that means folks are tiring of musclecars. And that would not be good news for our hobby.

I for one can't wait until next year. It was a blast, It was a circus, it's entertainment, it's Auto Vegas. You take yo money and place yo bids. It's the modern day version of "The Greatest Show on Earth" and it's even under a big top.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. No shill can force anyone to pay more than they are willing to pay. Be it ebay or B-J. These are cars, toys not food or air. Any seller can ask any amount he wants...period. If a seller tells me he has been offered 70K for his 1970 L34 Chevelle SS 396 and I decide to give him 71K for a car only worth 35K who's fault is that...not the sellers. Buyers need to take responsibility for there own actions and stop blaming ebay, B-J, shills and the tooth fairy. Having said that, I'm going to bed and dream about being a seller next year instead of a buyer.
