CHECK THIS OUT WHEN I SAW IT I JUST ABOUT FELL OUT OF MY CHAIR.LOOK AT THE BLOCK STAMP THE GUY THAT DID IT MUST HAVE HAD A FEW TO MANY JACK AND COKES
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1970-CHEV...1QQcmdZViewItem (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1970-CHEVELLE-SS-CONVERTIBLE-454-LS-5_W0QQitemZ4608353780QQcategoryZ6164QQssPageNameZW DVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)
I'd say he deleted the Coke completed.
*Pad Stampings out of line.
*He forgot the 4th digit in the VIN..number 5 to be exact.
*CRN isn't even a prefix used for the LS-5 Chevelle. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bs.gif
ANd people are still bidding on it!! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif

have a look at the car i am not a chevelle guy but wouldnt a ls5 air convert have at least a tach or some other toys?
It wasn't mandatory.
A Tach was an option, with the RPO U-14 gauge package,as was Bucket seats-Posi-Flapper Hood & stripes-Power steering, all seperate extra costs.

CRN suffix shows up on the nastyZ28.com suffix menu as '70 chevelle LS-5 with manual trans. I've heard that there are inaccuracies on lists like this; think this listing is wrong? Pretty strong bidding on this car- jeez.

My book shows CRN as '70 Monte Carlo 454ci/360hp w/TH400.

Yep, CRN wasn't a Chevelle application, according to Colvin's book. Monte Carlo only.
