Today I bought a #3972116 service replacement intake with a #3869933-EF LIST-3130 831 carb. I remember reading a thread here not long ago about these fairly common 1965 425 hp/396 carbs. This one was built in 1968 I guess.
The primary metering block is stamped with 33101 in smaller size under the bigger 5271. The primary fuel bowl has an ink stamp saying: 4929 D
The secondary metering block is only stamped 4519, and the ink stamp on the fuel bowl says: 4930 D
What do all these stamps mean ?

Anders;

You are correct, the carb is dated the 1st week of March 1968.

The stampings on the metering blocks identify how they're calibrated and what carb(s) they're applicable to. To note, the 3130 should have a #4596 primary metering block where yours has one from an early 3310 (#5271) which is technically incorrect for your carb, but will likely run fine.

The #4519 secondary metering block is correct.

Regarding the ink stamps, I'm unable to answer that question as I've yet to find out for 100% certain myself. I've heard several explanations as to what the ink stamps mean, and that's why I don't ink stamp my restorations...until I know for certain what the appropriate stamps are, I'm not putting them on.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
Eric

Thankīs for your answer Eric.
I thought the carb was bought new the way it is because of the ink stamps being: 4929 D / 4930 D, but now I donīt know.
