Hi Sam, from someone who's been to both sandboxes on two different deployments, I understand how excited you must be. My younger brother is now taking his turn over there and just returned to Baghdad a week ago from a week's leave. It was both strange and exciting to be on the other side of the pond this time watching someone you love come home, but I am proud of him, just as I am sure you are of your son. Tell him "Thanks" from a fellow G.I. and to keep his chin up, but his head low!

Thats right Mark. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif Pat said he could not wait to get home to have a glass of milk. Plenty of water but no milk. It is trruly amazing that anything runs in the desert, He said. You wake up with sand in your mouth you go to bed with sand in your mouth. You are sandy 5 minutes after a shower. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/headbang.gif

Just got back from Souderton Elementary School. The kids made the soldiers cards and gifts for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Pat, his mom and I went over to school to thank them and present them with a flag for the school. The kids loved it and got to see and talk to a real Army man! Our family is proud of him. He is heading back to Iraq next Wednesday. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flag.gif

Just got back from taking Pat to the airport. Four more long months in Iraq. Should be home in July. Was harder now than it was a year ago. Thanks again for the prayers and support. This thing just NEVER seems to end. Sam http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flag.gif

If it takes an act of Congress to send our people to war then what exactly are we calling this? another police action? Time to bring them home.. Our prayers go out to you guys Sam!

Sam, I was hoping by now that our job as a country would be done by now in Iraq. I guess not, just listen to the news today! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I would rather see our National Guard secure our ports than a foreign company. Bring them back from overseas to rebuild Katrina and guard our ports. You are right Sam, no money in that! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif
