Hi all,

I just found this auction on eBay a short time ago. Will
the madness never cease! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bs.gif Item: 4612042784

Jim's #40 ZL-1 has a "Buy it Now" price of $5,600.00

What a deal for a ZL-1 ! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif If I could only scrounge
up $6,000.00 for the car........ Perhaps I could sell the
427 engine ( L-88 ) I'm building and then get the ZL-1 - huh? decisions...decisions.... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Honestly, I wish we could somehow get eBay to put a stop to
this junk. I did contact Jim by the way. He's aware of it
now.

You know what kills me?

About three weeks ago, I got contacted by eBay about an
upcoming on-line "town meeting" with their president to
discuss hot topics. I wrote back that I wanted to know
what eBay was planning to do to stop the rash of auctions
on muscle cars that the sellers clearly didn't own. I
never heard back from eBay on that topic. Guess it isn't
of too much concern to them. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bs.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsdown.gif

I was wondering if all the members here sent an email to
eBay about this problem maybe they might listen. It does
hurt our hobby I think.

Perhaps someone here can investigate link that we can all
use to send a message. Perhaps a form-type email might
be helpful. Just a thought.

We really don't have time to police eBay's auctions, but
they don't seem to care that much. I would hate for some
poor person to loose his/her hard earned money to a scam
auction. Thoughts? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Naw.... It's on two times by two different people. One auction is $6000 b.i.n, the other is $7000 b.i.now.

The guy wanting $7000 must be a broker wanting to make an extra grand. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bs.gif
