I bought this car with intentions for restoring it this winter but here it sits and I havent started yet so I thought Id pass it on to a guy with more ambition/time than me.

1969 Chevelle SS396 Convertible, 396/325hp, 4 speed, Factory Air, Power Top, PDB, PS, 12 Bolt, Real Fathom Green car, Black Interior, buckets, console, glass back window, good driver and would be a great car to restore.

First off this car is 100% a real SS car with do doubt! The engine is 100% the number matching block (no restamp of any crap like that) vin is stamped down by the oil filter. Body is solid and car was last painted around 1980 so if it had issues it would have been showing long long ago.. Driver side front fender has 2 small bubbles starting (smaller than a dime size) way down low No holes. Rear quarter looks like it had a small patch put in behind the wheel (you cant tell from the outside at all)Other than that the body is clean. Driverside rear quarter has a small dimple just behind the door it pops right out but when hit a bump or rub up against it it pops back in. (easy fix!) this isnt that noticable Im just telling you what I see.

Drivetrain is excellent the car runs and drives EXCELLENT!! Good brakes, clutch, shifter, etc.. newer tires, exhaust just general maintence.

Front driverside floor has a small patch about 3 inchs by 5 inchs right where the clutch pedal and brake pedals would be if you pushed them in. the rest of the driver side floor is excellent.

Passengers side rear floor where the back passengers feet would be has also had a piece put in both could easy be cleaned up and not noticable. other than that the underside is very solid as is the trunk and frame. GOOD OLD ORIGINAL CAR.

Interior is decent most could be cleaned up. I would order vents and some trim pieces but everything else could be cleaned up.

Top is excellent

Car was painted once back around 1980 they painted it the Original Fathom Green but added some Gold Metal Flake so up close it shows some flake. Paint could be buffed out and touched up to look pretty good still definately good enough for a local cruise to the Dariy Queen type of car.

When I bought the car I was told that the odometer is the actual miles of 17949 but I have no way to prove this other than what the guy I bought it from said. He bought the car back in the early 1980's and only put about 4,000 miles on it since he bought it he bought the car from his friend who was suppose to be the original owner. The guy I bought it from owned a service station so it has been very well maintained, infact even the air conditioning worked before I parked it this winter.

I havent tore the car apart looking for a builtsheet and have no other papers on the car other than reciepts and thing like that. Good chance there could be a sheet in it but either way if you looked at the car there is no doubt about what it is.

With guys getting 50k out of bogus clone cars that arent that well done I fell this car is worth 35k all day long. Price is FIRM if you have interest give me a call or PM me. Thanks Andrew 507-208-0191

Car looks nice & sounds honest.
What Trans & rear axle ratio was it built with?
What assembly plant is it from?
I would consider looking for the buildsheet.
It couldn't hurt. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif
