Cool Pictures! Nice Finds! What are they wanting for the white Mustang that belonged to the Older Lady or did the guy say it was for sale! I bet that would be a GEM to have.If I were you I would be doing some HEAVY TALKING to see if you can't get them there rides! I run across some pretty nice finds from time to time but too many people in TEXAS own guns and they will not hesitate to run your A$$ off in a minute! I stopped one day to ask about a 1st generation camaro and I swear I really thought the guy was going to shoot me with that big old shotgun he had in his hands! He said something to the effect that if that MO&^%$#^)@#$ was for sale it would have a %$^&* for sale sign on it now get the %^&* off my *%$@#% property before I blow your %^&&* off! So you can imagine I didn't waste any time in RETREATING to my truck and Getting off his property really very quickly!I just thought I wanted to find out about that Camaro! After that experience I don't even want a Camaro! LOL! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif We have some real duzzies here in TEXAS! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Wow.....sorry to hear about your bad experience with that Camaro owner Bobby!!! Doesn't sound like much fun..

I spoke with one of the kid's who owns the Shelby and his only comment was.."its not for sale".

I haven't knocked on the door of the house with the GTO. It's in a super expensive area and not likely that they need the money.

The guy who showed me the '66 Stang said that he has tried to buy it from the family and they weren't interested in selling.

That sure is a shame for letting cars like that just sit and ruin.I personally would be able to know reality and if I was not going to be able to do anything with a car, I would rather see it brought back to its GLORY! Some people just don't have a CLUE I guess. I am careful anymore about just going up and looking at a car that is parked. You know it could have been Dickie, hell bird shot don't hurt that bad at that distance! BUCKSHOT now that is a different story !LOL Nowdays the paintball guns hurt worse than that Birdshot! Especially if the enemy has frozen them paintballs!LOL http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

My buddy had one of those Beanbag guns. They would leave a nice bruise and knock the wind out of you but other than that they were not to bad.

some of my best deals have come from that scenerio, the kids have the dough to buy real cars, but no one in the family knows anything about fixing them it soon burns the points or whatever then sits...and the parents and the neighbors hate looking at it in the driveway... where do you think the bone yards used to get really cool cars every once in awhile...Mom calls and has it towed off for free just to get rid of it http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I would follow up on that one stat!!....you may get the "you really want that car???"... well how about you just take it...

I think I saw that GTO for sale a while back on Sunset in Brentwood. Is that the area you're talking about?

mssl72.....Bingo!!! The car sits just west of the 405 off of Sunset Blvd. Do you remember what the asking price was? Also, could this car be a Judge? I don't know how to tell the difference. It does have an old "Here comes 'da Judge" sticker in the rear quarters.

I was wondering if anyone would recongnize the cars. Now, if you can tell me where the Shelby is, I'll be REALLY impressed... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I don't know how much effort I will put into trying to purchase one of these cars. I just bought an '02 Vette that I am enjoying for the moment!

Later!

Yep, I remember seeing that car sitting in the driveway and trying to take a picture of it while I was driving by (something not easy in traffic out here). I honestly don't remember what price was on the windshield. Then one day it was gone. I didn't know what happened to it. I take it it's still nearby. I don't know Pontiacs that well to be able to tell the difference either.

I'll have to turn on my Shelby radar to see if I can track it down. I'll let you know if I do.
