Hello, I have a 1969 Chevelle SS 396 L-78 with special order rallye green paint.I was wondering if anyone knows how many of them might have been produced?Or know of any? What do you think would be the value of it restored? It does have the original motor, trans and rear.

Thanks Doug

Nice combo Doug. Let's see some pix. There was a RG '69 'velle advertised about a year or so ago w/ I think an L78 motor up north somewheres. Think it had some body damage from a storm or something. That is a pretty rare combo. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif Exact numbers are not known.

Sam, It is the same car. I was selling it for my friend .It was sold it to a guy in Michigan and after a few months he called me and asked if I know anyone else who would like to buy it. It turns out he found a Z-28 he wanted more.So then I bought it from him.

It has black interior with buckets and a four speed.

Thanks Doug

Have you done any work on it? Still want to see pictures regardless. What trannt and rear end is in it?

No way of telling how many cars of a certain color were produced, but you can bet there were darn few RG 69 Chevelles http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Special order colors are hard to predict.
There was a 1969 L-35 Chevelle for sale in California last year through trader on line.It was a Specal order code 79 Rallye Green too.
The owner was advertising it as an original 36 year "Survivor" but it wasn't quite all that.
It was nice looking though!

I had pondered this very scenario for many years. When you look at the colours available in 1969 for the Camaro and Chevelle, Rallye Green is the only one that the Chevelle didn't get in relation to the Camaro. Was the colour considered too extreme for the larger Chevelle http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I also would very much appreciate a picture of a Rallye Green 69 Velle http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks for the reply's. It has a M-20 trans and I believe the rear is a 410 but not sure I will have to check. I would post a picture if I knew how to.I did hear about the 325 hp car in Califonia. My car would have come down the same line about 4500 cars later. Does any one know who had the 325 hp car?I was told he worked at the Femont plant and watched his car being built. Maybe he remembers my car also???

Thanks Doug

Here's Doug's RG L78 'velle. He is getting some seriously cold wx up there and has promised a couple more shots when the out-of-doors is habitable once more. He also reports that he has addressed the lowered rear end since this photo was taken. Dig those tires http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif !

What would be a fair price for a my project car? I still have not done much to it besides restoring a few parts for it , and collecting some NOS metal(fenders and quarters).

Thanks Doug
