Now that I have your attention I have a question......Why are there so many YENKO CAMARO clones out there and I have yet to find one CORVETTE ZL-1 CLONE. Would not a corvette zl-1 clone be as valueable if not more than a yenko camaro clone http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/youguysrock.gif? Please explain, thanks

I don't know, but unless I hit the lotto, another Yenko clone is about to be born.

just my opinion.....i think it takes less money to make a yenko camaro clone. some people take a really nice camaro, add some stripes and they ve got a clone. now ...buy a 69 vette= big $, find a Zl1 motor= big $ . bottom line, yenko stripe kit...$125.........Zl1......$huge.

Much more likely to see Corvettes being cloned as L-88's than ZL-1's. Alot easier on the pocketbook most likely.

I will have to research further but I think ZL-1 CORVETTE's were a L-88 package with a ZL-1 engine......I have the ZL-1 engine. Corect me if I am wrong please.

You are correct. Just that it is a lot easier to build an iron block L-88 than an aluminum block ZL-1.

Here's another perspective. There were 69 ZL-1 Camaro's and
some of them are still missing. There were only two ( or
three ) ZL-1 Corvettes and only one is missing. So, the
mystique of a ZL-1 Camaro clone still has the air of
possibility about it, whereas the ZL-1 Corvette is almost
an impossibility.

I would think this is because the Yenkos are much more popular then the ZL-1 Corvettes. I would suspect many car fans do not know about the ZL-1 Corvette. Larger market, larger demand more incentive to build a Yenko clone.
