A 1971 LS-6 Corvette tied HOT ROD magazines 1970 LS-6 Chevelle SS 454's road test they did back in 1970. A friend with a '71 LS-6 coupe with around 13,000 original miles just ran a 13.12 quarter mile at 107 mph with a stock drivetrain. This car is a M40 with 3:36 ratio. Options are a rear window defroster and AM-FM stereo radio. The Chevelle was a TH400 with 4:10's!
Just bought my second LS-6 Corvette last weekend, just after leaving Puyallup swap meet (actually saw Charley for a short time), looking forward to participating in the Pure Stock Drags with this new addition, by the way it's a M22, 3:36 ratio coupe.

Bill,
That was my thought too!

Rob,
Sure gonna try! Have a few items to pick up first, such as A.I.R. system, and some items to take off, car has Hooker sidemount header system on it now, and Western vector wheels and 2:55 60's tires also.
By the way, owner had 2 very special cars, neither have been started since 1995. A '69 Boss 429 Mustang, bought in 1972 for $1900 and the '71 LS-6 Corvette, bought in 1978 for $8500.
I guess I could just bring the other LS-6 'vette, it's bone stock with M22 and 3:70 ratio.

That's wickedly ironic...Steve Hodges brought an LS6 'Vette to Stanton last year, but had to take off his sidepipes as well!
