Service replacements (also known as) NOS can sometimes and most often be different from "Born With Parts" or "Lunch Box Parts". I think pictures of wording on stick would help in determining value.

Thats what I am tring to get an answer on. I am Very well aware of replacement parts that differ from assembly line installed parts. I am tring to get an answer on the Pink plastic plug on the end. has anyone seen one? I have seen Yellow, green and gray. Someone has to know. The important part is the part number which is 3902399. The writing says 67 396,427 camaro, pass. Thanks SYC http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/3gears.gif

My '67 Camaro (L35) has the pink plug. Engine is unrestored. I can post (digital, close-up) pics of the stick if need be. -Bill

Pink plug is correct. The part looks original to me. The writing on the dip stick part is critical, also.

I have seen camaro dip sticks with the flattened loop all the original 67 corvette big block dip sticks have a round tube on the loop. Must be a superceded part for the vett.
