someone correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe that those "SS" wheels were available on a 1968 Chevelle. Am I right or have I been misinformed?

It's $50K on their web page (http://www.auto-n-vest.com/search/detail.cfm?id=205)

I wonder if that car is original paint? Notice the added "vintage Air" A/C.

Did Chevy put the powerglide behind the big block in 1968??

"Original" is misused. Don't think the SS wheels were available in '68. Aftermarket rear speakers, a/c compressor. Terrific docs - this car probably rubbed elbows with some supercars. Notice the POP imprint on the Broadcast sheet. Is that a common practice?

But not in 68. Would have been a TH400.

Believe both were available, suffixes as follows:

EK, EL - Powerglide
ET, EU - Turbo Hydramatic

Looks like a nice car but those rims would have to go. Several others available that I think would look good on this car would be dog dish, simulated mag covers, or the rally rim.

True.
You could get the M35/Powerglide or M40/TurboHydra behind either the 396/325 HP,or 396/350HP in 1968 from the factory, but those rims are not.

The dealer who owns this 68 SS has been trying to sell it for quite some time now. I remember when the asking price was 35k, and that was about 6 months ago. I think it is really sharp.
