I am looking for 2 highly motivated and skilled people to come work and learn the trade of restoration.
I just moved to PA from NJ and am now ready to bring 2 people on board. I have already contacted Wyo-Tech and UTI to start,but I thought I would also try here on the SYC to see if anyone would like to take advantage of this rare opportunity.
My main interest is in people who have a background in body and paint. I am willing to train qualified individuals who have the desire to learn. Here are some of the aspects of the job:
Mechanical...rebuilding transmissions,rear ends, steering boxes, distributors, carberators ect...
Electricial...disassembly and reassembly of the entire wireing circut, diagnosing and trouble shooting of same.
Upholstery...recovering seats, installing headliners, and convertable tops, and re-dying original parts.
We specialize in musclecars and corvettes. Here are a few examples of current projects...3 67 435 HP corvettes, 7 69 Z-28's 2 are J-L8's and 3 are cross ram cars, 2 69 435 HP corvettes 1 is an L-89. There are several waiting to come in but I need qualified help so I can serve my customers in a timely manner.

I'd do it, but it's a conflict of interest since my T/A is there (actually half of it at the moment). I'd be paying you to pay me to work on my car. Actually I did that from 1987 to 90 when I was trying to get the Hemi Charger painted. I ended up going to work at a CT shop where my car sat and sat and sat, without any progress. I would be the Project Manager in the Summers and then commuted from Law School in Boston, back to Connecticut, every weekend to work on my own car in that same shop. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif

Rich is a good man with a lot of patience. His work is second to none and I believe anybody that is willing to work hard and wants to learn will come out of there a well versed body man and mechanic. I would love to. Nick would be the perfect candidate. He just joined the National Guard though. We have to go through this all over again. I don't know about these patriotic kids of ours.
