Oh sure...rub it in! It's like 41 degrees here and pouring rain! It's been raining since 5am this morning. I'm officially blaming it on Bill Pritchard...since he came out this weekend from the 'burbs of Chicago. We actually had SNOW in Cave Creek...which for those of you who've been to Scottsdale lately...is about 10 miles north of Scottsdale. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif

I have been in Scottsdale during them daylong downpours after not getting rain for 6 month’s; I get a kick out of the people who attempt to drive through the washes. The level of Human Stupidity never ceases to amaze me. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Yeah, what the heck is going on with the weather?!?! I flew back from the D.C. area yesterday and I was wearing a t-shirt. When I got to LA I had to put on my hat, scarf, gloves and jacket. We've been getting rain too since I got back.

Well Mark, I am glad you guys out on the coast are getting some bad weather for a change. We only have about 2,000 years of crappy weather out here to catch up to you guys! So you are saying the west coast sheetmetal I like is no longer any good? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif

In between hail storms it was pretty nice yesterday. I threw the battery in the Z and fired it up. The spin around the block was overdue. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burnout.gif

Yeah, nice weather on Thur, Fri and Sat. I did a bike ride Thur. Washed the truck to get all the winter salt off on Fri. Trimmed back the forsythia(sp?), worked on the 96 SS, worked on the boat and put a coat of wax on the truck Sat. Now it's raining! Gotta work on the 96 SS some more and work on the boat a little before going into work for a while to do a system upgrade.

Yep! All the sheet metal out here is all frost-bitten. It won't hold paint anymore. Sorry guys, no more nice cars out here! I think I'm going to move back East. Oops, wait a minute, the sun is coming out!

They have a Tornado watch south of here till 4AM.
Kankakee area and anything else south of I-80 is fair game till then.
It was nice Fri-Sat.Sun. w/highs at 65 degrees.
Tomorrow,back down to 30 degrees. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Just wiped out the tv's radar and one of the weather guys ran outside and grabbed a hail stone the size of a baseball...and the worst storm is south of there, and no communication with those folks yet...!

I hope everyone is OK. It's supposed to be 75 here today. 22 is the projected low tomorrow night with some light snow. What a tease this recent warmth has been.

8" of wet heavy, blowing snow mixed with rain and at least 2" more forecasted today. Already have 110 schools closed in the area. It is basketball tournament season so I guess it was expected. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif

Talking to several sYc members this morning through out central Il and it sounds like they got the a$$es kicked! The major of Springfield, IL stated that not a square inch of the area is left unscathed and there is substantial damage. All goverment workers are advised to stay home and most roads leading into Springfield are closed. So far I have checked in on Cumby's, Hartweg, Wright's and a couple of others. Don't know about Don and Judy Stowers but I know they were in the thick of things. Cumby has also been checking on several people to make sure all are ok. Power outages through out the city. Sounds like Missouri got it very bad as well as sone other states. Hope all the members are ok. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif Check in when you can.

Anyone that hears anything from any of the midwest members let us know of their wellbeing as a majority of them are without power and cannot reply online anyway.

We went through back to back tornado warnings yesterday, and escaped any damage. At six pm I thought I had missed it all, 30 minutes later, one last golf ball hail storm came through and got my 05' truck. My garage was too full of musclecars, to get the truck in. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Can't speak for everyone in the area but here's what I know so far.
Just talked with Ray Morrison down in Tom and Rob's area. They're all fine and had little or no damage. Talked with Annie last night and, aside from suffering a bout with vertigo (non storm related), she's good too. Lots of power outages around her area but she has power and had no damage.
I heard from Bob Lionberger in LaHarpe, and Ray had spoken with Helen. Sounds like everyone there is OK.
We had some major damage immediately North of town but nothing where we are. We lost power Sunday evening and the initial forecast was that we might be down for two days. The crews did a great job under terrible conditions and we had service back in about 6 hours. A couple of smaller communities around us took a hit and were still without power last night. No school Monday because of the storm but they're back in session today.
Springfield, IL took a hard hit. Three major blows in about three hours. The worst was at the Southwest part of town and many parts of the city are still without power today. Still haven't heard from Don and Judy Stowers. Hope everything is OK with them in their new place about 10 miles South of Springfield. Haven't heard of any damage down there so hopefully Don is just busy finishing the new garage! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif
Anyone else have a report?

For those who missed Don's reply under another thread, he and Judi were in the midst of the storm but escaped in good shape. Great news! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif
