I've already got a soft-sore spot for '65 L79's as an original owner Canadian 2door post car got away from me about 5 years ago....knew the guy and everything! . Just goes to show a fella's gotta' bug some people....the nice guy way doesn't always work out? . The consulation prize was he laid the original rocker covers on me to make me feel better? ~ Pete

I bought you a pair of L79 exhaust manifolds for blackie today, Kim (really) - Brought them home in the back of the 25k mile, untouched 71 El Camino (belts, hoses, spare, tires, engine paint, bed, etc., etc., completely untouched and new) I bought. It is unreal and very mint. Also very ugly with lime green, white CO8 and green interior!!!

Back in the early 70's there was a guy in my part of NY who raced a 1965 maroon L-79 car at Dover Drag Strip. He was brutal with that car and beat the crap out of it...he didn't lose very often and was a terror on the local streets.
