Yes, that is the same FG COPO Chevelle that sold at Barrett Jackson. It was parked right beside George Lyons DY COPO Chevelle. The write-up on the EBAY listing was taken directly from the BJ website.

And no, these type of crooks and scammers will never learn.

If you click on any of the links, you open his email address message box. For example:

- Watch this item.
- High Bidder.
- View seller's other items.

Don't know how you accomplish that in the listing http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Don, That seems to be the new thing. You can still go to the bottom of the page and bid. I do that sometimes just to mess with the auctions. I'll bid up in the millions. A lot of these scams are by yhe same person because I have been blocked from bidding on a lot of them. Another new thing I've noticed lately is these guys will register a lot of names with Ebay that are one digit apart. For example, jfkheat1, jfkheat2, jfkheat3 ...... They will list one or two items under each name. I haven't figured out how they are not registered users and still have the auction up and running. They always cancel my bids but I didn't think they could log in on an account if they are a registered user. That has be baffled.

When will Ebay get a handle on this type of fraud??? There should be an approval process for placing an ad..some kind of scrutiny by qualified people!!

I emailed one guy who had a similar ad to the Chevelle ad, but for a 67 Corvette.......SIX GRAND....

Here's his rely to me copy & pasted direct...

"Hello,
I have received your email regarding my car.
First you have to know bidding is restricted since I am carefull with my auction,so noone will press the button until I have the assurance that he will buy it.
The car is in perfect condition,with no scarches on it,no dammage.The price for the car with shipping included is 10000 us dollars.
Now i am retired and want to move into the city into a small appartement and cut the expenses and i need money to pay for the new home.
Here people wont pay this amount for a car as they prefer to buy a bike for this money,so here it is......
All the manuals and the original documents are in English.The car was made for US market and has US specs on it .
The buyer will receive this along with all papers and recipts that he needs
to register them in his name.
It has a Clear Title and it is in Showroom Condition.
The car is in Europe,England and it will be shipped from here.
The shipping will be done with waterfreight and will take within 14-18
days.
It will be done with SAMSKIP and they will deliver in a boat to the
nearest port and from tere trucked to your exact address. I have a friend at SAMSKIP who will manage me a low price shipping and I assumed that it is from me to pay for shipping them.When I will shipp the car,I will declare it as a gift so that you will pay no cusoms when you wi! ll receive it and for this it will be delivered directly to your address.
The most important thing in all my activity here is that I am affiliated at eBay Square Trade , I have a purchase protection account for 10000$ and I assume you know what this means. The finacial part of this deal will be manage by them.They are accting like a third party in this deal.They will keep the payment details until you receive it and test it.Also,in case you do not like the car or you are not satisfy they will refound you 100%.
Anyway, I have to let you know that I want a fast deal so if you are realy interested in buying the car,please reply with the following informations:
-Your full ! name;
-Your shipping address;
-Your eBay user id.
I will look for your email,so that we can move forward with this deal!
Regards!

These guys also hijack legit ebay accounts. A couple of weeks ago I had listings of a '32 Ford, '70 LS6, '57 Belair and a ZZ4 '66 Nova for sale by my account coming from an IP address in Romania. They were deleted by ebay by the time I started getting emails. They all had a "buy it now" when I checked my account, of $5000. I guess these douche'bags think some moron will buy it and send them some money quickly. They also tried to relist them. My ebay fees for this crap would have been $519.60
