’71 Hemi ’Cuda up for grabs
We witnessed first-hand a 1970 Hemi ’Cuda convertible, one of 14 built for domestic sale, sell for $2 million at Barrett-Jackson a few months ago. Well, here’s your chance to get a 1971 Hemi ’Cuda, albeit a hardtop, in May at the Houston Classic, run by The Worldwide Group, said John Kruse.
Kruse told Hemmings Muscle Machines that this Hemi ’Cuda is the only Sassy Grass ’71 ’Cuda built with white interior and has recently received a ground-up restoration. The four-speed car comes with extensive documentation and is one of only 59 built with this transmission. The total number of ’71 Hemi ’Cudas is 118: 48 were equipped with automatics, and 11 were shipped to Canada. The car was owned by well-known Mopar enthusiast Mike McGuire. Kruse said it is the opinion of several Mopar experts that this car is the best 1971 Hemi ’Cuda hardtop in the country. A pre-auction estimate shows that it may crack the $1 million mark.
The auction is May 6 at the Lakewood Yacht Club in Seabrook, Texas, about 45 miles south of Houston.

From a market price comparison point of view, it would appear that the '71 Hemi 'cuda hartop is in the same ballpark as the ZL1. Mind boggling. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
