ID copo camaro

my buddy has a 69 copo camaro, he's looking to sell it!
he has been racing it in a f/stock class. has NO documentation on it. how do you prove its legit?
do the serial #'s help? any help would be appreciated! thanks

Listing some of the componentry would help identify it.

eg. ( rear axle tube code, engine & trans. ID stamping).
