Looking for a pair of YA wheels (14x6), for my 69 SS El'Camino. Dates: Dec, 68 through Jan, 69. Must be in good and restorable condition, with unworn lug-nut holes. Thanks!

YA's should be 14X7. I have one, I'll check on the date tonight.

14X6 for Chevelles and El'Camino's, and 14X7's for Camaro's.

Didn't know that, mine is a 14X7.

Steve, it's a possiblity that another SYC member might need your YA for their 69 SS Camaro or Nova.

Still looking for a pair of 14X6 YA's for my Camino.
Dates: Dec, 68 through Jan, 69. With or without trim rings and SS center caps. Thanks!

All of my YA wheels are 14X7. I don't believe that you will find them in any other size. You might find the same style wheel in Olds or Buick in 6" but it will have a different code. Ford, AMC, and Chrysler used the same style wheel with a different bolt circle. Then again, maybe I'm about to learn something new. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I will have to re-measure the YA's I have. I just re-checked Colvin's book, and he states that the 69 SS Chevelle has the 14X6 YA's.

I have only seen 14x7 YA or AO's

Ok, I will re-measure the ones I have. All this time, it never made sense why Colvin's book states that the 69 SS Chevelle's/El'Camino's should have the 14X6 YA's, and not the 14X7's like the Camaro. Here is a prime example of another mistake in this particular book. Thanks Keith and Steve.

I've never read that book but have heard lots of negative reports. He should at least re-issue the book with corrections. He's had lots of time. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Colvin lists the updates to his books on his website. I can't imagine the amount of work that went into those books, so I'd expect a error here or there. I think they are awesome, they go with me to junk yards, swap meets, car shows, and then they sit on the coffee table at home as 'fun' reading http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

If you have a wheel that LOOKS LIKE an AO or a YA, check the bolt pattern. It could be a Ford wheel. I tried to buy a used one at one of the local tire stores a couple of years back and fortunately the owner knew his stuff. He knew I'm a GM guy and asked me why I wanted it. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Don't know if those are 6" or 7". http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Like Steve, I haven't run across anything but 7" for Chevys.
