View Full Version : Just dashes
I am thinking of sending my 68 Camaro black dash pad to be recovered by Just dashes. Has anyone dealt with these people
and whow long did it take to get it back
and did you get your dash back. I am afraid that my dated dash pad will not be returned???

They did a 70 Judge dash for me... superb work, I would not hesitate to send another.
I will have them do my headrests, dash, armrests, and pillar posts on my 68 GTO. Their headrests are the best that I have seen.
I sent them a dark green dash pad for my 70 Nova that some other company butchered (wrong grain and wrong shade of green) They did a fantastic job in recovering it. I will be using them again for my '68 Chevy II dash pad.
Mike
Did you get your own dash back and not someone elses???

Does anyone know why they dont do ANYTHING for the 69 Camaro? Seems like a huge market to skip out on.

They must do 70-72 Chevelle dashes, right? Anyone use them for their 70-72 dash pad?
Peter,
Yes, I received my dash back and not someone elses. The dash was for a 70 Nova with A/C.
Good luck!

They did my 73 SD TA dash and it turned out great. Expensive and takes awhile but I don't know of anyone else that does it.

I was thinking of sending a 69 GTO dash to them. Back 7-8 years ago when I built my car, they were asking around $600. If a 68 Camaro dash is $400 now, I can imagine a 69 GTO dash would be around a grand?
Anyone had one of those done lately?

Tommy:
You're correct. They won't touch the 69 camaro pads. The explanation I received was the 69 pads had a one year only engineering design of plastic injected base/structure backing that, regardless the care given, or the condition of the pad/structure, warped and distorted over time. Since Just Dashes guarantees their work, (for fit and function) they were constantly loosing out on the 69s because they were returned to JD citing poor fit. Sort a deminishing returns kid of scenario for JD...
Options: Pony up over a grand and a half for a NOS Dash Pad. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif One that has a big blemish right in the middle of the pad (production flaw on all NOS pads for 69s).
Or,
Repo. From what I hear, the repo is not bad – fits reasonable well, and doesn’t require a second mortgage to purchase. I think that's what I'll be going with on my project.

A friend of mine had them do a '69 Judge dash last year. It turned out nice, but turnaround time was almost a YEAR if I recall correctly?
Same sort of deal with SMS door panels out of Oregon. Nice results, but a lot of phone calls and waiting are possible.

Just Dashes did my '67 427 Comet dash, complicated pad with Ford perforated speaker holes. Work was superb, price was strong but I am very satisfied. I am just in the process of sending them my '70 Z/28 deluxe door panels to redo. They are not reproduced so this is the only route to go on these pieces. Anyone else had these panels done ?
George, I have deluxe panels for a 70 Z that I need to have done as well and will be interested in your results.
