Sounds like a combination business/pleasure trip to me. Good to hear everything went well.

Getting to take your machine on a short road trip is just about the most fun you can have. Before I converted my hemi challenger clone to a FAST racer, I put 5,000 miles on it in 2 years. If I remember correctly, I got 14 mpg at about 80 mph. That was with a 472 in. 9:1 crate engine in a 4200lb. 4spd w/ 3.54 gears. If I put my foot in it, that changed to 6 mpg rather quickly. Nothing feels better than gobs of torque and abundant horsepower strapped to your ass while rolling down the hiway. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burnout.gif
Thanks guys. The new 383 and tko 5 speed are easily the best things I ever did to this car, road trips are fun now.
