It's that same guy as we looked at last week with the supposed McLaren ZL1 block and L72 'IP' 66 'Vette motor. . Looking at his other items I see he has no bids on anything and his viewable history shows he's only been a buyer before. . I wonder if this is some kind of set-up for someone to 'find' online and 'clarify' values....maybe he or a chum is refinancing and told their banker to check values himself or convincing a wife of something so they can buy more?? . Still wondering why being a 'Vette guy he wouldn't have included the Vin of the L72 motor....really all his descriptions are weak? .

"Because it is a part carried by produced one of them in 20.I am very rare."

Give me a break! Somebody should just offer the guy $200. and see what he does. What's to lose?

WOW - I was shivering when I parted with 2K to buy an AMC Edelbrock crossram. 23K will buy you a nice car today.

I am willing to bet that he will not get any bids at all on everything he has listed. Unless he has a shill bidder help him out. This person is genuinely confused or he simply put the wrong conversion factor in when converting yen to American dollars.

I asked him why his price is so high.
He replied he would send me a free tutorial videotape explaining why.

He has Chevy by Numbers sitting there so I looked it up. I do know what the 3885069 manifold is, there's one on my car. This intake has 3886093 on it too which CbN's says is a slight redesign of the 069 and used with '67 L88 Corvettes (unverified). I'm still not sure why he seems to be implying there is only 1 of these made. Ask him to send the video. I would love to see why I should pay $23,000.00 for a $300-400.00 intake. I just hope the video is in English.

I think the seller is trying to say (in his answers to the questions in the auction) that it came off of one of the actual production '67 L88 Corvettes. How he can prove that I do not know. I guess the video explains it...

Kooky pricing aside, looking again at this sellers other items makes me wonder who this guy is? . There's been a couple of Japanese guys who own or have owned McLaren Can-Am cars and I think there's still an M12 in Japan? . Man, that magnesium oilpan is a deal compared to the intake!

I think you could have your own intake cast for that much.

Was it a member here who offered to sell him one for $500. If so PM me with casting#, date and condition. If it is the 3885069 casting, I am looking for one, I'm just not willing to pay $23.000 for it.
