Is anyone here going to this event (this Saturday, 7/8)? I plan on going at this point but have not attended in the past. I have been in correspondence with the organizers and they have been very helpful.

Just to update everyone on who plans to attend:
Jim Parks called me yesterday and informed me that he was leaving the '02 ZL1 PhaseIII Camaro at home and instead he was going to trailer his '69 Yenko SuperCar to the show. I first saw it at the Berger All Chevy Show in '03. Awesome car. I havn't heard from "Capt." Carl if he is planning on bring one of his Yenkos back again this year. Donny Hood from Des Moines will have his Le Mons Blue unrestored '69 Yenko back this year. Many of you may have seen it at last years SCR.
It was featured in CHEVY RUMBLE a couple of months back.
Right now the forcast is for great Iowa summer weather . I hope to see everyone there !!

Rich...........I will be there with my '02 Phase II ZL1. Brad will be there (PR1 I believe is his forum name here) with his '00 Phase IIX Berger SS #PR1 as well as Charlie Mateer with his '02 Phase IIX Hot Rod Magazine Camaro. As stated above, Jim Parks is planning on coming with his '69 Yenko as well as Donnie Hood with his LeMan's Blue '69 Yenko. I believe that Jeff Gasten in coming with Jim Parks and bringing his Phase II Hot Rod Magazine Camaro. In previous years, Ron Wilhelm has brought his '69 Yenko, Carl Suber has brought his LeMans Blue Yenko, James Shockley has brought his Rallye Green Yenko, Annie Hartweg has brought her '02 Phase III ZL1, etc. Mayor Brown (LaHarpe Illinois - MayorB) has attended too as well as Dennis Cumby (Roodhouse, Illinois - OrigLS6 here on the forum board.) has attended in years past too. We have been trying to get Tom and Rob to come but it always seems to interfere with some other activity that they have previously committed to attend. Kim Howie had promised to attend last year but something else came up.
Most of the people are all well known here on the forum board.
Please, by all means, come this year and give us a whirl. I think you will enjoy it.

A special thanks goes out to the members of the Mid-Iowa Camaro Club for hosting this fine Camaro event at D.M.A.C.C. in Ankeny, IA. Charlie Mateer, show organizer, was very instrumental in orchestrating a smoothly run show. The weather was great and fun was had by all.
Here are some pics of a few of the outstanding Camaros on display.

Congratulations of your "Best of Show - Original" win at our club show. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif
It was indeed a pleasure having you there Rich. We enjoyed seeing your beautiful Yenko Camaro and talking to you. We were certainly glad you came.
Thanks for posting some pic's here in the SuperCar Registry website. I took 545 digital pictures at the show yesterday and am in the process of downsizing them (as I shoot everything at high resolution just in case I ever want to blow anything up and print it) to put into our club website photo gallery. I hope to have this accomplished in the next week or two. Just check our website to see more pic's.

Looks good! Wish I could have been there. Way to go Rich! I guess your memory is not fading in your retirement. I was at the NASCAR race in Joliet. Awesome race except JR. didn't win.

Alan,
I was having doubts myself in my "retarded-ment". http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif But I have been to the doctor recently and have been diagnosed with the C.R.A.F.T. Syndrome. That's...
