I'm looking for a really nice '67 RS/SS for a family cruiser while I restore my '67 Z-28 (it will also provide a good reference for all of those times when I can't remember how something goes back together http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif). I am willing to do a partial trade on my '67 Corvette that is discussed here http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/179825/an/0/page/1#179825 Value of the Corvette is between $65K and $70K and includes the knock-offs and rally wheels with brand new Diamond Back red-lines. Please PM or email any leads that you might have http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

Thanks Les! Wish I could afford to do the Z and keep the Corvette, but I just can't swing it...

Well the Corvette has found a new home with another member, so I'm looking at a cash deal only now. Please email or PM any leads that you might come across. Will also consider a '68 Z-28.

While on this subject, I have heard about, but not yet seen a 67 RS/SS for myself. 43K Original Unrestored Miles. 295hp/350 PowerGlide on the column. Factory A/C, Bolero Red, White nose stripe, Black Std Interior, Calif car with NO docs.....claims no dents, dings, no rust original paint.
IF this checks out I will try to post pics elsewhere. Can those knowledgeable, please give me estimated high side buying value.....Seller asking/thinking $30K ??????

Chuck, the PG hurts the value a bit, but I think $30K is what it would be worth...if it is a true time capsule, it might be $35K, but I haven't seen too many sell in this range for a small block/PG car.

I wish I had seen this thread earlier, I am a 67 Corvette nut. I have a 1968 RS/SS 396/325 with a turbo 400, delux interior, tilt column, wood wheel, power steering, power brakes, power windows, buckets and console with guages, air conditioning, am/fm with 8 track unit, disc brakes and vinyl roof. It is the original engine, transmission and rear. This is a 100% rust free California car with its original black license plates. I bought it from the second owner who had the car since the mid 80's. It has been painted one time but other than that it is a great survivor Camaro. Still has all smog on the car. I am thinking about selling it, but I am a Corvette guy.. let me know if you may be interested. It is white with black interior. You guys will have to help me on a price..

On July 3 Monday I did drive out to my old friends home, some 50 miles east of Seattle, in the Cascade Mountain foothills. The below 67 Camaro had little if any Original paint and maybe a replaced right panel. Even though a nice car, I was expecting to see an Original Paint unmolested survivor. Bottom of car was as original with misc dirt, grease and grime.........I pretty much decided that I High $20K's was just too high. Did I make my next mistake.....??

Chuck,
You made a good decision. The master cylinder and associated brake lines are incorrect. The motor looks incorrect as well. Wrong air cleaner, wrong valve covers, wrong PCV setup etc.. Makes you wonder

Car looks to be repainted. Has a rear spoiler (not in 67), wrong center caps, etc..

If you are looking for original unmolested that car is not the one.

Rick H.

Thanks for the responses, but I have decided to go in another direction for our driver http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif So I am no longer looking for an RS/SS...unless it is a Pace Car that is http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

I know Marlin...I hear it from my wife all the time! At least the Black '67 Z is hear to stay...it crosses the border on Friday morning http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif Hope to have it disassembled and then off to PA (hopefully) by the end of the Summer for body and paint http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burnout.gif

Hi Ed, I am talking to Rich at Cornerstone. I am doing this car to be a super, super nice driver and so far Rich is the only shop that seems to understand the intended purpose of the car. Somes shops have had the balls to tell me how I need to restore "MY" car since it is so rare, but I really don't care what others think. This car is about family fun and not being afraid to take it out of the garage...so spending 100 hours under the car making it 100% show worthy is simply a waste of money. I want the shiny side to be perfect, but everything else needs to be pretty but durable http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

Sorry for the spelling of "here" above, got a lot on my mind today http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif
