Value of '68 MO 302 Short Block?

OK '68 guys...what's an original '68 MO 302 worth. It's a short block, standard bore with 1,000 miles on it, but it hasn't been run since 1987 - although it was "oiled" every year? VIN and assembly stampings are untouched and original.

Well if it was going to the owner of the car which it matched... BIG DOLLARS...
Otherwise I have seen them on ebay for 1500 to 2500.

Well a long block bid to $3500 yesterday on ebay but did not meet reserve...
