The best part was munching down a Gene & Jude's double dog in the passenger seat while Sam was power shifting at 7,700 RPMs. http://chicago.citysearch.com/review/3530933

Stefano treated us to the "double lunch" - first we stopped at Gene and Jude's for a double dog and fries, then on to Jimmie's for a beef and Italian lemonade. It was awesome! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif
Then we drove North avenue all the way into the city, and headed out to the airport to fly home.
Let me take this opportunity to once again thank Darren, John, Mike, Stefano, ALL the guys from Chicago, you guys are the best hosts and really made us feel at home!
http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif on me at SCR9!

I can assure you that they can go 7200 quite easily. Been there. Done that. Scared the bejesus out of a Dodge boy in the process. That was in my younger days when these cars weren't worth quite as much. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Were not the Chevelles like the Camaros, where most, if not all autos were column shift cars from the factory, with Yenko converting them to floor shift? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Stefano,
That is one un-real clean car. Speaking of food, let's get the PA guys to bring the Tastey Cakes and Yuenglings. Sam and Benny c'mon bring it on!

I thought that a few more than 22 were accounted for. The number which comes to mind is 27. Not all of these are on "lists".
Of those how many are 4 speeds with original engine and rear as well as original sheet metal and restored with mostly original parts or NOS? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif

Stefano is right about this car. Pictures don't do it justice either. You have to see it in person to appreciate the quality. Just MHO, of course.
