More goodies from the GM Photosite! Try this one on for
size. It shows a 1970 SS Chevelle with a little surprise
under the hood. A 6-BANGER?

1970 SS Chevelle? (http://www.gmphotostore.com/prodinfo.asp?number=53217423)
They also used this same Chevelle on the front & back cover of the 1970 Chevelle brochure. It may look like a BB Super Sport, but behind the scenes photos I have clearly show it wasn't.It even has the early 1969 Chevelle SS rolled Ex. tips on it.
They actually made a commercial with this Chevelle too, that never aired.
I was lucky to obtain it and from all the angles they show,it's clear to see it was an early mock up crudely put together and no wonder it never aired.
They later released a much more professional commercial using a Real Gold 70 Super Sport and the actor James Hampton, who played "caretaker" in the 1974 movie "Longest Yard". http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

On the bottom right hand corner of the engine compartment,
what is the orange box peaking through the "teeth" of the display?

I was wondering the same thing. Oh, I got it! It's a
first aid kit. Once you pop the hood and see a 250ci
engine, you need to be revived! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif

Cool pics! .
I like the '71 design car w/ stripes extended into the front bumper/valance....looks a bit AMX'ish though? .
Those stripes are similar to the '69 Z-28 extended tail stripes of recent postings. .
