Just went and saw "Cars" with the wife and kids. Pretty neat, especially if you have car-nut son like I do. Lots of references to the old days of NASCAR--the Petty Superbird and the Hudson Hornet, among others.

Been to it four times now with my spoiled little car nut.. he and I went, then we had to take his mother, then his brothers and sisters, then grandparents when they visited.. I am hoping no one else visits or it comes out on dvd soon.. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif good show, go and see it..

Got to see the first half of it -- went to see it on opening day with my family when a lightening strike hit the substation that serves my local RAVE theatre, and cut off power for the rest of the afternoon. Power cut off right after the 'tractor tipping' scene. Hope to make it back to see the ending soon!

My 2 boys LOVED it...and of course, they want to eat at McDonald's every meal now so they can get a Happy Meal with one of the promotional movie cars inside...I'm just glad we don't have a McDonald's here in town or else I'd be broke!

Pixar has amazing talent for not just animation but hitting the story dead on!.

This was my 4.5 year old son's first Movie theater experience and he sat on the edge of his chair for the full movie and would not even eat Popcorn. We all loved it, and he also knew all the characters names. Great Movie and even better marketing job by PIXAR/DISNEY, the stuff is everywhere. We went to a car show over the weekend here in Illinois which also had die cast collectables. Johnny Lightning is making some pretty cool detailed replicas, and I had to buy one for my son.

I think Larry the Cable Guy stole the show as "Mater." My son loved it when Mater pulled his wooden towing sign to straighten it up and emitted a little exertion fart. That's my boy.

We've got every one of the McD's Happy Meal cars .... and we don't even have any kidz ........ Actually, they are all arranged right now on the kitchen table. My favorite is the tow truck.

My 8 year old has been bugging me since the day we saw the Trailer for this movie 6 months ago. "June 9th" is a day that was etched into his brain as he ticked off the days waiting to see it and telling everyone his Dad and he were attending on opening day! we did. we both enjoyed it (as usual we both picked up on different aspects as these Cartoon guys know how to hide adult Referenced humor even going back to the Flintstones!) the Mountains shaped like vintage tail fins, the Drama of the Old Racer and the New scene coming together, even the Ricer scene got noticed. not one foul word spoken and nobody killed. First at the box office. HMMMph kind of tells you something huh? My mother has since taken him back to see it again and last weekend he was with me for the Shelby convention where he got to hang out with the infamous "Dragonsnake" his favorite Cobra ever produced. it was not only the First Drag Racing COBRA ever made by the factory, but it also was in "Viva Las Vegas" (The kid loves Elvis, go figure) so I am sure a trip to see CARS will be in order again this coming week!!
