The black ss bumper pad is coming off,looks like some kind of black glue,whats the best glue to put it back on with , thanks kris

I second that motion. Anybody got some good info on making it right. Have a sag in the upper right hand corner and it could us a fix.

Ive only done one of those in the last few years.

Memory is saying we used 3M Weatherstrip Adhesive, since its good for rubber to metal bonding. Masked off the area that the pad was to be, and sanded/scuffed the bumper very well. Have to clamp and weigh the pad down very well while it cures, especially in the curved areas of the bumper.

I know that it held well for two years, but havent seen or heard of the car since, so I cant speak for long term.

If you have the new style, they're made out of a kind of slimey rubber/plastic that feels slick to the touch. You need a special adhesive to get them to stick right, and it doesn't work that well. Last I knew, Year one, or OEM had it. I seem to remember there being a short shelf life.
Originals usually stick pretty well with most good adhesives. Sometimes a little super glue in the corners will hold a long time.

Try 3M window urethane. It sticks to anything FOREVER.Including your hands.

Hey thanks for the input, I think i like the urethane idea that stuff is nasty sticky!!
