Over the years I have been collecting parts for my 1966 327 Chevy II 2 dr sedan, to put it back to original shape. I have a 1965 12-bolt rearend, an M-20 transmission, a couple of early Chevy II thickwall 283 blocks, a 327 crank and an L-79 intake. So I could punch one of those blocks out to 4" and build a "correct"(oilfilter and clutch linkage) Chevy II 327 engine.
But lately, with the increased interest in old racecars, I have been thinking of doing a "racecar-restoration". Therefore I started one year ago to buy parts of the same kind as this car had when it was shipped to Sweden in 1974-75. I now have a 1964 Olds rearend with I think 5.13 gears, a Super T-10 transmission, and an L-72 427 engine. So far so good.
Then yesterday I was offered a 1967 302 crank (casting # 3876764) and this tunnelram intake (with Winters foundry snowflake).
So now the question is: Can I use this intake on a high-winding 283 or 302 engine ? And if so, what size carbs would be suitable ?
If I use a SB-engine I donīt have to cut up the inner fenders I have bought.

Would the short runners, 5 inches from the plenum to the head, make this intake more suitable for a small cui or big cui engine ? Or does it affect the rpm-range in which the engine makes most power ?

<font color="blue">That is a big rpm intake,
it will dump a lot of fuel.

I used the Weiand Hi-Ram on mine.
A lot more streetable. http://www.holley.com/data/products/pictures/large1984.jpg

Thankīs Michael, thatīs what I wanted to know. I guess I have to build a really high-rpm engine to get good use of that manifold.
