Hey guys... stumbled across this low mile, original '69 Z28 by mistake. I do not think its for sale, I did not ask. Burgandy on black, no spoilers (originally), flat hood, smog all there, original YH rally and spare tire, untouched original interior with power windows and rear defogger (I think) to boot. Rosewood wheel is mint, AM radio too. The owner of the car owns a gas station by me. P-o-P was in the glove box and its been in Westchester its whole life. Sold out of Kinney Chevrolet. This thing is a total time warp.
I will be going back to talk to the owner and take some more reference photos soon.

I just picked up a 69 Rallye Sport http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burnout.gifZ28, hugger orange w/ white stripes, comfort weave interior, cowl hood, console, gauges, NUMBERS MATCHING, in my back yard. I bought it from the owner of Cox Racing Engines, who restored it himself. It run's like a big block & believe it or not, i drive it. The closest thing to 427 cubic inches i have ever driven. I love it! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burnout.gif

So glad to see an original Z/28 with the flat hood...
I too would love to see a lot more of the engine
compartment ( paint, plating, etc.. ).

Do the rear stripes touch the rear Valiance?

Ask and you shall receive.
Always a hot topic among original restoration fans are the engine lift hooks. The color on this car; orange. There is no fluffing, painting or cleaning on this car. The T3 headlights were still in tact with the original Endura bumper. The smog system was all there in its unrestored fashion too. Like any unrestored car it has its bumps and bruises, but its totally complete.

Give me an original one over a restored one (blemishes and all) any day of the week... Grrrlrllrlrrl http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/drool.gif
The engine lifting hooks look to be silver the orange looks to be on the rear plug wire loom stands...
The lifting hook on the rear is behind the plug wire stand on the pas side and the front one is on the driver's side and it looks to be silver as well... Dan can you confirm this?
It has 2 piece kick panels... what is the build date on the car?
I love the cowl overspray... burgundy and white for the white out stripes...

I agree. Dan, I think in your excitement you were getting the two things mixed up since they both have large round holes in them http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif Wouldn't want to be pulling the motor using those wire loom stands though http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif

Lot of Muscle cars down in that area. Across from that Old Gulf station was an AMC dealer. Ton's of parts still locked up there, friend trying to buy the treasure of parts.

Love how nicely that endura bumper fits...amazing even in it's condition.Don't know if it was mentioned but is it a Norwood car?Pictures of the trim tag..?

I do not want to post a trim tag shot or P-o-P shot without the owner's consent.
It is a Norwood car... 01B build date.

I'm with Charley, that would be one to own for sure. There is just something special about an untouched/unfluffed original. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/Can-I-Have-It.gif

Is it true that there are parts there or is it an urban legend type thing? My dad use to go there to buy parts for his Rebel Machine when he was a kid. You could get the 'Group 19' parts there, and they had all of the great aftermarket AMC products.
