Glad to see you found your issue of National Dragster Lonnie. The phone number is a Ohio number (now a cell number). Here is a link to Ohio tracks. Maybe it is one of them or at least a good place to start.

Looks like Norwalk Raceway Park before the new grandstands and other renovations over the last 10 years........

Seeing the Winston signage (which might indicate Vintage NHRA) and the Ohio number, I might guess that it would be National Trails. Looking through fuzz in the picture, t looks like there might be a roof over the starter which would indicate Norwalk. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Oh yeah......216 was changed to 440 for a lot of the Cleveland phone numbers some time ago......try 440....Worth a shot. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/scholar.gif

Also that is a Heartland Auto Banner shown as well......My money is on Norwalk..

thanks to all for post!the ad was march 83.has norwalk alway been ihra ? did winston sponser ihra in the 80s? tryed the 440 did not work but thanks for any help

Try 330..it's the Akron area exchange..It was also 216 in some areas back then.

It is for sure norwalk raceway the sign behind the nova says hartland that was a speed shop at NRP that would sponsor the run tuff t-shirts if you ran on your dial in.I still have some of those run tuff shirts way cool.Ray

9secondyenko. did you race there late 70s early 80s? has norwalk always been a ihra track ? did they have national events there sponsored by winston ? thanks for the help.

Pronova I have been racing at Norwalk from about 1984 on the track is about 45 mins from my house,do you need some info on that nova?I know some of the racers that have been ther for 30plus years let me know if I can help.

Ray cant get my e-mail to work here is a picture of my car 1984 i cant be sure but the picture in the ad looks like it was before it was painted the brandywine.It looks dark with a white strip if you could bring this picture and the ad to the track that would be cool thanks for your help...lonnie
