Jeff, great article..I need to get a copy and then hunt up an original magazine. Chevy made just 667 of those "terrible little monsters" in 1968. In fact I have never seen another one in person...the only 375 cars, other than mine, have been the Gibb Novas. There must be a few hiding out there in some distant garages....would love to get connected to some other 68 L78 owners and hear their stories. Thanks again for a cool article!! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif

I have seen that article before. I have it some where on my computer, thanks for posting it. Since you brought it up I was at a car cruise this past week with my 68 BB nova and this guy comes up to me an say's, do you like L78 nova's and my reply was hell ya! He said he new where their was a 68 BB nova and he new all the past owners. It was a gold bench seat car. We talked about my car for a while and he ended up giving me the guys name that owns the car now. So I called him and he tells me it's a 69 L78 and its only 30 minutes from my house. He is in the process of rebuilding the number matching motor. He has owned the car since the late seventies. I only talked on the phone with him for about 10 minutes I was on the way out the door when I decided to give him a call. We are going to try to hook up because he wants to see my car. But like tom said you just never know were a car will pop up. When I am at a show people just can't believe they put a L78 in the nova. They are getting the attention they deserve finally.

I remember when Novas were the stepchild to the big boys...now a lot of folks want them.

I have seen quite a few bare 69 375 Hp 396 blocks with the W plant stamp in the VIN. In fact, I have one.
