I guesss I'm spoiled living in AZ., I would hate to add possible evacuations from my house every year to my already busy life.

Hope its a quiet year.

My last hurricane season here in the panhandle. At one point I considered retiring here but no more. It's a nice area but not worth the risk of having your home and all your possessions ruined, not to mention what is happening with insurance rates, if you can get insurance. Insurance co's are dropping out left and right, can't blame them after the hits they have taken the last few years. 11 months from now I will be back in Phoenix complaining about the heat.

This is only the 3rd named storm of the season, a year after Katrina. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
The NHC predicted a busier season than last year, proving once again that predicing the weather is an inexact science. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
Unfortunetly, due to this unending heat wave which has helped to keep the storms away, the real worry is the northern Atlantic seaboard. NJ, NY, New England are all overdue for a big storm, and the damage would be more costly than Katrina. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsdown.gif
Have a nice day. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif
