Does anyone make a reproduction of the hood tach?

They were never "reproduced" per se, but Dixco manufactured those hood tachs for many years and sold them through various suppliers including JC Whitney, etc. The newer ones are a bit different on the faceplate, and are transistorized, but if you just want the general "look" they are the same shape and size as the original version that was used on the Yenko Deuce... check ebay, there's always a couple of the newer style versions available, sometimes still in the box.

I don't know about others, but the one on our Firebird lasted one winter. I don't know whether the weather was a factor or not.

The Pontiac ones seem to be flatter across the top, were there different styles?
