Can anyone tell me what a one owner 70 Torino 429 SCJ with 33,000 original miles shaker hood, drag pac, chrome 500 rims Jade green exterior black bench seat interior auto on the column is worth?
car has been garaged and off the road since the mid to late 70's

Do you have the VIN and axle code? This is the way to start figuring out if it's a real SCJ. Engine code should be "C" or "J" and the axle code will show if it's an SCJ.

car is legit. I know the owner he bought it new in 70.
still has original motor, tranny and rear end.

I think it would need to be a strong #2 to be 40 grand.

I have a good friend who bought a 70 Torino Cobra 429 (CJ, but not an SCJ) brand new. He just sold it in the summer of last year and got right at $38K for it. It was definitely a #2 or #2+ , so that's what I was basing my guesstimate on.
