May of you looked at the COPO Chevelle stamped engine in the parking lots at SCR9. The engine had a Leeds VIN. I was under the impression that all the COPO Chevelles were built at the Baltimore plant. Any opinions on the engine?

Hey Bud I'm glad to see you made it home ok... It was also nice to put a face with the name... Here is a picture of the block in question... I took it for the VIN# but it didn't turn out... Mark

They weren't all built at Baltimore Charlie. Mine was built at Fremont California plant. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/headbang.gif

I was looking at Ed C.'s list and it only showed COPO Chevelles from Baltimore. Sounds like yours is one of the few from CA like the lone COPO Camaro from Van Nuys.

I would think there were quite a few in Cali....this just happens to be the only one known to date.
