During the talk that Jimmy Madison gave during the Banquet at SCR9 (which was very interesting and informative)......He explained that "all" the COPO orders came across his desk and related his experiences with Don Yenko, but not once during the Speech did he mention Fred Gibb.........Who was the "Original" dealer to process the first "High Performance" COPO order?????? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hmmm.gif
I'm sure that someone here has that info...Just want to get that piece of "History" correct..... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/scholar.gif

Thanks

The 66 Corvair Stingers were an early bunch.......What was before them that was not just F&SO? I'm just glad someone figured it out... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/scholar.gif

9737 & 9738 ? When were the orders placed datewise? I believe Yenko was earlier.....Remember Don got the COPO program (as we know it) rolling in 66 & 67....I do have a news add from Gibb dated July 26 1968 stating "The 50 are here"..sales recorded on 7/31/68...(per Ed C.) The 9737's were still built/sold first....The last few built during 07E...when the 50 9738's arrived..Sound about right?

FWIW...I believe the Gibb order had a bigger racing impact than the 9737 in 68....Then came 69 and everyone was in on it .. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
