Hi Bill,
Yes, the Camino Chuck's from Ct. previously - he sold it to the crazy Aussie and I bought it from him along with the low mile survivor black LS6 hardtop and low mile black LS6 Camino.
The orange car needed a few days in the shop fixing lots of little stuff (power windows didn't work, fuel gauge inop, etc.) and now I can say it is ready to drive anywhere. Great car. Have I seen your 86 before (at Mecum's)? Send over some pictures if you want to discuss. You know me, I'm easy http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hey Ed,
Yep, that Pantera would look great with your Punto http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif
In the big picture, don't Panteras seem like a deal? Too bad Shelby didn't sell them, then they would be worth millions. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Colin, very neat car. It would be a good one to bring to the Vettefest if you still have it.

Actually Colin the power windows always worked i told John you just had to smack the door panel above the switch lightly and they never failed once, must have been a loose wire!

I can't even imagine how easy that thing must spin the tires... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif

I've never spun the tires on any car I own http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif
And the power windows work great with a new switch!

No not at all Colin...never tested the drum brakes on that green lift off hood at your Power Tour BBQ either. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/3gears.gif

I would just like to point out that Belair has no proof of this alleged abuse. It was probably my twin brother driving http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif
BTW, Belair - your sig is old. Change it or be square http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif

Colin, I had that clutch pedal adjusted real low so its a few inches out of Belairs reach. Hes going to have to bolt a 2x4 on it if he wants to go on a test ride. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

...yeah and did you get the roof lowered back to stock height ? It was raised so Sasquatch could drive it.

The only thing that surprises me about your reply is how long it took http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You know, everyone always thinks the ElCaminos are much lighter in the rear and are prone to losing traction more easily, but if you look at the engineering specs, they are actually a tad heavier on the rear axle than a sedan or coupe. They have a full station wagon floor pan under the bed floor, plus inner steel panels from the wheel house back, plus the heavy gauge sill at the back of the bed, and the extra tall reinforcements for latches in the rear quarters......not to mention the weight of the tail gate itself!. That all than more makes up for the lack of a "C" pillar and a deck lid. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
