Paul... were they made by A/C or Stewart Warner?
I have seen many stewart warner ones on ebay... sometimes they are sold at a more than fair price.

I think this one is made by AC and is the 90 degree design. The Stewart Warner box is an inline offset design.

Are you looking for a 90* adaptor or straight thru????
Are you looking for one that changes speedo ratio or is 1.000 to 1.000????
Are you looking for AC or Stuart-Warner???
I have several of each that I just thru in the solvent tank to clean up, will get some pictures later tonight or tomorrow... Crash

I believe it is the 90 degree AC adapter stamped with P/N 6476736. The ratio is something like .844 or .744:1 reducing the speed from the driven gear on the tranny to the speedo cable.

Paul, I have 3 of that style, but the closest I get is 6476735 with a ratio of 1: .824 ...
I don't believe these are AC parts, I have AC ones with AC cast into the aluminum housing,,, but I could be wrong... Crash

Check with this seller "bad_._juju" on eBay -- he's got a couple of speedo adapters listed and probably has more "in the back". His real name is Roger Kennedy from Puyallup WA, has tons of neat stuff, mostly Camaro and vintage speed.

In the pictures I posted from left to right,,, the one on the left has a name stamp in the end plug that looks like UBBARD, but could be missing some letters,,, the middle one has AC cast into the body,,, the one on the right has Stewart-Warner cast into it... Hope this helps... Crash

The left one is the style I need. What was the P/N on that one? Please send the cost to [email protected]. Thanks,

Paul

Cash, I am also looking for one for my 70 Nova L78 TH400 with 4:56 gears. Came from factory with 3:55. If you have a part that will work for me, please let me know. Thanks!

Wilma, from my 70 parts catalog, your car should have come with the following speedo gears:

Drive - P/N 8623311 16 teeth Orange

Driven - P/N 9775187 45 teeth Lt. Blue E70 X 14 Tire
P/N 9780470 44 teeth Dk. Grey F70 X 14, G70 X 14 Tire

Looks like with the adapter you need with the above setup would be with a ratio of .75 to .80 to 1, pretty much the same as I am looking for. Mine though is to replace what came on the car stock.
