For Sale: Numbers matching 1968 Camaro Z/28. Selling this vehicle on consignment for one of our good customers. We're a dealership that deals with new, pre-owned, and vintage European cars, so this car is a bit "foreign" to us, pardon the pun. This car has documentation from two different sources that indeed it is a "numbers matching" car. It has a 302 c.i., 4-speed tranny, smog equipped car, built in California. It has two factory racing options: Something called the "Smokey Yunick cowl induction", and also the exhaust headers. Please bare with me, if you are interested in this car. Most 911 buyers aren't into serial numbers on the Porsche engine lid, so this whole venture will be a new one for me! Please contact: Jason Bradley, 248.645.6300 or

Nice car... what color is that?
Since you don't usually deal in Chevrolet Muscle cars... I will go ahead and help you out... People who are in the market for this type of car are going to want some good cleans shots of the numbers on the pad under/behind the smog pump, the cowl tag, on the side of the trans, and on the front of the passenger side rear axle tube.

This car is very nice. I've seen it numerous times in downtown Birmingham during the dream cruise. Real cowl air cleaner, don't know if the numbers all match, never checked. Last I knew, it had no vintage docs at all. It did have an appraisal from Bob Peck saying it was a real Z/28. If anyone needs the car to be checked out, I go by this dealer on my way home almost every day.

Without proper documentation I would be careful with this car. An appraisal doesn't make the car real. I see numerous issues with this "restored numbers matching Z/28" such as wrong exhaust, master cylinder, etc.
Pretty reasonable price for a "true" Z/28.

Oops, sorry you assumed I thought it was a real Z just from an appraisal. Not saying that, I am merely pointing out that the last time the car was up for sale (Ebay) that was the only piece of documentation available. As for the price, nice car but over priced based on it being a 68 with no POP, body broadcast, etc.

No, I didn't assume anything. I knew what you were talking about and I was just making a point about documentation.
Like this from the one selling the car.. [ QUOTE ]
This car has documentation from two different sources

Huh? There is only one valid source. GM!
